Minority Rights, Diversity and Inclusivity
Pakistan is a diverse country, and that diversity is one of its strengths. At the same time, minority communities, including religious, ethnic, and linguistic minorities, continue to face significant barriers to full participation in public life, access to services, and the enjoyment of their rights. IDRAC’s training in minority rights, diversity, and inclusivity is aimed at building awareness and practical capacity around these issues across a range of audiences.
Our programmes help participants understand the legal and normative frameworks that protect minority rights, as well as the everyday realities of discrimination, exclusion, and marginalisation that minority communities experience. We work with government officials, civil society organisations, educators, media practitioners, and community leaders to foster more inclusive attitudes and practices. We believe that inclusive development is not simply a matter of fairness, it is also a matter of effectiveness. Programmes and institutions that reflect and respond to the diversity of the communities they serve tend to work better for everyone.
