IDRAC is a registered research and training organization committed to promoting Human Rights, Democracy, Education, Health, Governance, and Cultural development through impactful research and capacity-building initiatives.
G-13/2, Islamabad
Research and evidence generation have been at the heart of IDRAC’s work from the beginning. We conduct research not as an academic exercise but as a practical contribution to better decision-making, more effective programming, and more honest accountability. Our work in this area spans a wide range of thematic issues including education, child rights, labour, governance, health, and community resilience.
We carry out baseline surveys, midline assessments, and endline evaluations for development programmes across Pakistan. These studies help implementing organisations and their donors understand where a programme began, how it has progressed, and what it has ultimately achieved or fallen short of. We approach this work with care and rigour, using mixed methods that combine quantitative surveys with qualitative enquiry, so that numbers are always accompanied by context and meaning
Beyond programme evaluations, we also conduct independent research and situational analyses on issues that matter to communities and policymakers. We use a range of tools including key informant interviews, focus group discussions, household surveys, secondary data analysis, and policy document review. We try to produce work that is clear, honest, and genuinely useful to those who will act on it.
